Just when you thought the Cherry Mobile Omega was its most massive Android, the company surprises you with another beast of a phone. The Cherry Mobile Titan TV is a 6-inch phone tablet with 1 GB of RAM. The phone also can tune into local TV stations. These three specifications make it stand out from the pack. The rest of the specifications, while fairly impressive, are pretty much standard, dual SIM capability, with a dual core 1 GHz processor on a MediaTek chipset, 8 MP camera, 2 MP front camera, WiFi and HSPA are nothing new. Making the package more impressive is the price. All this will set you back just Php6,999.
What am I not so keen about. The Titan TV 2500 mAh battery sounds big, but powering a 6-inch display, the Titan TV will have shorter much battery life than the original 5-inch Cherry Mobile Titan (2350 mAh) and the Jelly Bean Packing 5.2-inch Cherry Mobile Omega (2300 mAh).
The 1 GB of RAM is impressive, but the older Android 4.0.4 operating system on the Titan TV, is a bit of a downer, when the Omega already comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Finally, the 6-inch display is a WVGA display. That mean a pretty low, 155 pixel per inch density. The original iPad 2 has a 163 ppi density and the Omega has a 171 ppi density. I will leave it to you to decide if it sharp enough for you.
Still it is good to have choices. Personally, I lean towards the Omega. It really is massive enough, but if you want something bigger, Cherry Mobile is happy to obliged you. At this size, I don't think you will feel the need for a tablet.
